What do you know of women?
I ask myself – wonder why.
This bedraggled man
before me –
Acting
Like everything in the world
Is
Alright.
Mouth full of words
Makes his cheeks, puffed
Out stuffed – rammed stiff
Words a girl said.
Sounds like rubbish
Spewing from his mouth.
Wonder how any woman
Can speak such words
Look after girls.
Three little fingers hold
Onto yours.
Hair straight falls on
Her shoulders –
Looks skywards
Do you know what she
Is looking for?
I ask
He looks – like I am still that girl.
Still.
She’s looking how to be a girl
In this man’s world.
